Good day everyone!

I just signed up.  I can make calls, but haven't been able to receive a text or a phone call, and haven't been able to send a text.

Hi @VW2

When you transfer number from different provider it takes some time for the number to be ported over, mobile numbers could take up to 2-4 hours where landline or VoIP numbers can take up to 2 weeks.

Doubt that time your number is not with public mobile yet so you can use the old services.

However the features you paid for would be working, you should have no problems dialing out, sending texts and using your data.

Data and picture messaging need data on your phone to be enabled.

If you did enable it bit it's still not working than you should change your apn settings.

You may need network reset it even factory reset if apn settings don't help

Here is a link to a previous post about apn settings

Port is a synonym of transfer. Did you transfer your number from another provider?

If you recently ported (transferred) your phone# over to PM it can take a few hours to be completed.

Did you port?

You need to use your old sim until transfer is complete

You should be able to send texts

For mms you need to turn on data and have apn settings correct
