@aev71 : Can you try a Telus or Koodo or other PM SIM in your phone? Did you go through all the suggested ideas and checks provided above? There were quite a few.
If you were to buy another SIM then you can change it yourself in the self-serve. The company might even credit your account the cost if you ask nicely since you've been here so long.

@aev71 - Also, check your Self Serve account, OR dial 611 to ensure your account is ACTIVE.
If all other trouble shooting is not working (and while you have your SIM card out) check the last 4 digits of the SIM match the digits listed on your Self Serve account under "Change Sim Card" option.
Matching is what you want, so that would be a good thing.
Not matching, please report back.

@aev71 - 10 years, you are a devoted customer!
Can you remove the SIM card and gently clean the contacts of the SIM contact points. Maybe gently blow inside the SIM slot.
Debris could have gotten inside at one point.
Or, the SIM could have shifted. Removing and replacing may help.
Has it gotten wet recently?

@aev71 : Can you try the SIM in another phone? Can you still log in to your self-serve account? Can you have a look at devicecheck.ca. Have you restarted the phone? Even possibly just removing and reinserting the SIM in the slot or tray.
