The first few days i was in Mexico I could call back to Canada directly using by tapping on the number in My Contacts.
Starting yesterday, I started the calls would not go through and I kept getting a UC2 error message.
Support advised that I reset my network settings.
I did and I could again make calls to Canada, but only if I dialed the Mexico exit country code of 00 before the number
I didn't have to do that the first few days I was here, but now I do.
I didn't have to before, and I assumed that was because I was calling from my Canadian Public Mobile number to call a Canadian number.
Anyone else have this issue?
Thanks

How do you manually connect to Telcel? The network just comes up when the phone turns on. Thanks

Dialing formats & network changes can trigger UC2 errors. Resetting network settings help by adapting to local carriers like Telcel or AT&T, but often requires adding international prefixes afterward.
The initial direct dialing likely worked because your phone auto-treated it as a "domestic" Canada-to-Canada call via roaming, but carrier switches or settings resets switched it to international mode requiring the exit code (00 in Mexico).

Try connect different networks, try manually connect AT&T and Telcel and make calls again
And make calls by dialing +1 in front of the 10 digits number
