Lest We Forget

A thank you to all that have served and are still serving today for the freedoms we enjoy!! For those that gave the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom I could ...never thank you or your families enough. I will continue to honour you and to remind and teach my children that it was through your unselfishness and bravery that we are able to live in this GREAT COUNTRY and have the freedom that unfortunately we take for granted.  I am honoured to be able to lay a wreath at our community Cenotaph tomorrow.  Please if you can get out in your Community and show your support for those in our Armed Forces past and present.

Thank you

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders Fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders Fields.

No matter how often I hear this poem I will always beak out in tears....

Today will be an emotional day for me. Radio, TV news... all are covered with those sad moments of remembrance.
