Is there any plans with no data?

Hi,

I am looking for a plan with no data. I don't care about it since I've gone back to a flip phone as my general use phone. I'm done with the smartphone rat race.

Also, if there is something where I can disable unlimited texting, calling, data, and even voicemail, then great. I could use that for the second flip phone I have (the cheaper, the better). I am just looking to use the second flip phone for receiving verification codes where it's required for certain sign ins. Nothing more.

Well, I think I may just suck it up and stay on Freedom Mobile then. Both my phones are unlocked. But if they need to be approved, then I just won't bother with all the extra rigamarole.

I got rid of the smartphone because Google is just making using custom ROMs more of a headache. And I don't use my phone for anything other than phone calling.

I've had enough of big tech (Microsoft and Google) and their shenanigans. I ditched all Microsoft products years ago. Just a couple years ago, got rid of anything Google. And I say this as someone with an IT background who is a full time Linux user at home.

So, I am looking for a detox from being constantly connected online and dealing with big tech nonsense. I've had enough. But I just don't feel like throwing away money on features (like data) I'll never care to use. So, that's what I am looking for.

But if Public Mobile makes it easy to get two flip phones working, I can deal with the included data as part of the price. Presently, I am paying almost $24 for my current phone plan after taxes.

But I am willing to pay $40 for two phones. One for general use, and the other number for verification codes (looking to keep the number that receives verification codes clean).

No. All are standard. You can just choose the cheapest plan and don't use it if you don't need it. A waste but, it's part of the plan. Even though it has VoLTE,  it must be on PM luste of approved phone to work. Yes it worked somewhere else, but could be issue here.

What do you mean? I literally have the VoLTE setting enabled on both phones. They both work fine. I just switched from my Alcatel to the Sonim XP3Plus as my main phone. They both work on Freedom Mobile.

Okay then. Thanks.

It is an issue since your cellphones aren't recognized by Public Mobile as VoLTE enabled.

There is no way to customize plans?

@Lindsey1000

right now, all currently offered Public Mobile plans include some data...starting at $19 gets you 1Gb data.

I just want to make the old Acaltel use the cheapest plan. I'm not into throwing money away over data that I will absolutely not use.

No sorry, all plans at PM have some sort of data. Plans start at 1GB for $19. Unlimited text, calls,  SMS and MMS.

What type of flip phone do you have? It may or may not work at PM due to lack of VoLTE.
