Is the network down?

Hello...I have been a PM customer for a long time and have had no problems till now...I woke up this morning to having no service available..my account is active..is the network down?

@azpower Sorry to hear that. Did they tell you if it looks like a network issue account issue or sim issue?

 

if not, can you please ask them?

 

if it's a sim issue, I am sure a close by PM member with a spare sim can give you a new sim.

yeah they told me could take 48 business hours for tech support to look at it...still no service...thanks for the fongo advice but it won't help in my situation.

If the SIM does not work on two different phones, it does look very likely to be the problem.  I wonder why people seem to have so much issues with Public Mobile SIMs?  In my years using cellular service with many providers, I have never had a SIM failure.  Are they being inserted/removed with the phone on?  It is always a good idea to have the phone off before playing around with the SIM slot.

if not, in the meantime, you may want to download fongo and use it for phone calls over wifi.

I would suggest send a private msg to mod. You have tag shazia,click on her name scroll down all the way click on send a private msg to her. And add your number email and detail explanation. Other fast way to connect with mod.

Yeah both phones have worked on PM without issues...my account is active and next months payment is sitting there

If sim not working in other phone then its for sure a sim or service issue since you tag mod they will look after you soon.

If both phone have same logo emergency calls only then its more like sim or service issues. Did you tried login to self serve service is all active topped up ? Also other phone is unlocked or telus or koodo ? The backup phone i meant to say.

no PM logo...just says emergency calls only...I think it might be a sim issue

I found a back up phone....it doesn't work either...I hope a mod @Shazia_K or other can help

Sorry to hear. But your phone connected to pm I mean on top of phone its show public mobile carrier logo.?

I am in London...I have no connection at all....can't make phone calls, text, data...I tried to connect to both of the PM networks as well as automatic connect with no luck

Where abouts are you located?  I am in the GTA.  Do you get no connection at all or have some services but not others?  Try manually searching for networks and see if the phone picks up anything.

Yeah I've tried rebooting the phone a couple times with no luck...hopefully a mod can have a look to see what's going on

No issues with the network this morning.  Maybe try rebooting the phone.
