APN settings correct ( sp.mb.com), reboot cellular data activated - No Data working / I have tried everything Ipad 2 ver. 9.3.5 / 13G36 - activated sim card on-line and ipad shows Public Mobile and my cell number shows in settings but still no data... Do I need someone at public to activate something further so I may enjoy my $45 data plan? Please help me, buyers remorse setting in...

The alternate APN does work from what I have read. It is not required though.

no, still doesnt work... It shows 3G, Public Mobile with full service, data enabled but still nothing...

The iPad 2 is really old the bands and the ones it does have is very lacking.

I was wrong before though when I suggested someone else here that their device wasn't compatible and they ended up getting it to work anyways with alternate APN settings from https://apn-canada.gishan.net/en/apn/public-mobile

APN: isp.mb.com
Proxy: blank
Port: blank
Username: blank
Password:blank
MMSC: blank
MMS proxy: blank
MMS port: blank
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
