I purchased a new SIM card today. The SIM is to be used in a GPS tracker, not a phone.
The tracker doesn't seem to be picking anything up, so I don't think they activated the SIM at the store. When I try to activate it online, I get an "invalid SIM" error.
I've tried different browsers, and clearing the history/cache. Nothing seems to work.
Any ideas?
TIA

What make / model is your GPS device? Could it be a hardware issue? Can you set Apn setting on the gps? That is probably the issue.
As mentioned best think is to try it in another phone.

@spigirl Try inserting that sim into any unlocked phone and see if it gets signal. If it does, it is already activated.

If you paid for data, you actually probably did register at the store. Did the store give you any paper work? Did the store assign a phone number? Did you register an email address?

I paid $10 for the SIM, and then $20 for data. Yes, I have tried secret mode in my browser, and am still having the issue.

Did you just pay $10 + taxes for the SIM? Did you sign up for a plan also? If you just paid for your SIM card, it should not have been activated in store.....
You tried the various browsers, clearing cache. What above incognito or private browsing mode?
