How to turn off / disable magnetic flip cover sensor

I have lineageOS 15.1 (andriod) on shamu (google / motorolla nexus 6) and everytime my phone goes near my magnetic car mount it thinks it went into a case and turns off and locks the screen

How do I disable it? Back in the previous version (14.1) it was Settings -> Flip Cover -> toggle off but I can't find it in 15.1

Yea I have tried using the search function but am unable to locate it using every keyword I can think of, mag, flip, cover, case, lock, unlock, etc and have gone through every menu manually as well and see nothing. Seems odd they would have removed this option. Maybe its a bug.  😞

Did you check XDA?  Maybe you need to edit a build.prop setting.
