How to keep number while travelling

Shubadub
Great Neighbour / Super Voisin

Hi all,

I’m wondering if anyone has any experience and/or advice for keeping my number/having the ability to receive SMS for 2 Factor while travelling abroad. I will be gone for about 8 months and would like to keep my number as I use it for everything.

Thanks in advance!!!

You can only suspend your account with your number for a maximum of 90 days. So if you want to keep your number. You need to pay your monthly bill on AutoPay. Also make sure your CC will not expire while you are gone abroad.

Or you can suspend your account for 88 days by disable Subscribe (AutoPay) then make a payment through by login to your account and the 2FA code sent by email (click on Resend Code/Didn’t Receive Code).

Customers are not required to use Autopay to keep the service.

you won't recieve 2FA or any other messages when outside of Canada (or US/Mex without that plan).

added...if you wish to keep your number for 8mos, just keep paying your regular plan costs. See if you can downgrade to a cheaper plan for that time, otherwise just let autopay do it's thing when you're gone.
