Hello, I can't figure out how to contact someone for this so I'm asking for it here. I have so many things to check already, I'm not going to check voicemail on top of that. I've had so many people say they left me a message, but there's no e-mails, because they erroneously left voice mails.
Please take this horrible nonsense off my account. I do not want voicemails. I do not want that to be an option at all. If this can't be fixed I'll have to find a new provider, that's how bad it's gotten. I would really rather not go through the trouble of getting a new provider and number, so please help me fix this so things can go smoothly again. Thank you.
Additionally, is there a sort of whitelist mode I could activate, where only whitelisted numbers can contact me when it's on? If so, I'd love that for during the hours I'm at work, even if it's an app I have to download or something. Thanks again for any help.

I'll look into the do not disturb thing for now until I can find a proper provider I guess. Thank you.

The problem with doing anything that doesn't disable the problem of voicemail entirely is then there's an annoying notification on my phone that I can't get rid of unless I waste my time futsing with voicemail. If it really can't be turned off, the only way to fix it will be to just go to a new provider. I'll look into putting that it is not monitored for now and see if that helps, but if anyone still leaves a message then I'll just give up and find somewhere else. Thanks.

Put a message in your voicemail saying it is not monitored and with an alternative if you want to offer another option.

@SJ21- The whitelist feature would be something on your phone. During work hours you could set your phone to 'Do not disturb' (or whatever they call it), and then tell the phone that these specific numbers CAN still call. In my case, I can set it to allow my contacts to call through. It depends on the phone/operating system.

The voicemail system can't be turned off. You can however use the extended absence greeting option which opens the option of callers not being able to leave a message.
Some people use external voicemail systems that can send you an email or other notification or even the recording itself. I think one of them is YouMail.
My Android 12 Samsung dialer can let Favourite contacts through on Do Not Disturb.
