How to call forward when you already left Canada?

I want to call forward my PM number to Fongo number. But I am already out of Canada (in Colombia which does not roam to Canada).
I saw the article on call forwarding but that is not helping if you are already out of Canada.

The real reason I need to setup call forward is that I need to setup WhatsApp on a new phone (my phone got stolen). When I setup WhatsApp I get the option to call my PM number, I do get a voice mail; but it is empty.
It is as WhatsApp will no leave a voice mail to my PM voice mail box, anyone noticed the same problem?
I asked the same question here about a month agon but I cannot find it now. Has it been deleted?

Never had to do this with Whatsapp, I guess it's system compatibility issue because Whatsapp's FAQ page says they will send codes to voicemail. But there has been news about hackers exploiting this so maybe they don't send to VM anymore and haven't updated their FAQs, who knows.

In your situation, only work around I can think of is to have a friend/family member in Canada to buy a new sim for you, you then register that new sim to your PM account.

With your “new sim” in their phone, your helper can receive 2FA codes for you and also setup call forwarding to your fongo number.

@fmongeau1  Sorry you can’t PM only works in Canada and The US with roaming add on . Your best to get local pre paid SIM card in your destination
