Getting old phone number

I let my plan lapse 2 days ago as I was switching to another carrier. My account says my account shouldn't expire till July, but when I called my new carrier to get my old number moved, they said it has already expired. Is there no way to get my old number?

You're going to reactivate your Public Mobile service on a plan.  A phone number cannot be transfered to another wireless.  So you'll have to make a payment to reactive the plan that you were on at Public Mobile.  If you would like get the Public Mobile plan to something less expensive just for the purposes of getting it reactivated, you will need to contact a moderator.

Correct only mods can change a plan while under suspension.  I would never suggest someone pay what they owe to re-activate their plan to then change it in self-serve as they would lose out what they had just paid *Unless they are future dating the plan change*  It is best to always go through the mods to change plans while service is suspended.

This isn't true.  @kigall, if you add $10 to your account and then private message the mods and ask them to switch your plan to the talk and text plan for $10 that is all you should need to do to get your number active again

I simply found a slightly better offer elsewhere. What kind of payment would I have to make? Simply a plan?

I think if you make a payment to reactivate your account then you will be able to port it.
