I know it's supposed to be a "free" eSim but, when I go to get it on my new phone that is compatible with it I have to pay for the eSim it says. Am I missing something here????

Replacement eSIMs are also free when a customer is siwtching devices dependent on a few conditions such as the freqency of the requests. Also, the eSIM is not always free with new account activation.
