Esim from koodo

My friend dumped his phone into the lake and it is lost.  He has a koodo account on that phone but wants to move to public....  he has a work phone that has a physical Sim and capability for an esim.    He wants to transfer his koodo number to an esim and make it part of his work phone with 2 numbers.   Can this be done and how?

yes, possible.  

supposed would have problem with porting because he lost his phone.  But he is lucky he has Koodo and Koodo and PM both owned by PM.  What he needs to do is to activate a PM account with a new phone number first.  After the account is setup and working, he needs to message PM and ask them to help to port in the line from Koodo manually since he lost his phone and cannot use the regular way to use sms to approve the port

Yes, it can be done. He can add 2 services on the same phone.

He will need to download the PM app and subscribe to a plan and pick eSIM in step 3 and port his old number in step 5 but since he can’t confirm the porting on his old phone. He will need to contact a CS_Agent to complete the porting process since Koodo & PM is under Telus. Just have to have his Koodo account number handy when contact an agent.
