I am anpublic mobile customer. My present phone has a physical Sim. I am getting a phone that is an esim only. Do I have to buy an esim feom public mobile or is it free?

Sorry, first time eSIM purchase is not free, you have to pay the $5
Subsequent eSIM replacement will be free with some conditions

First purchase of eSIM is $5+. When you get your new phone, you download the Public Mobile app to it and purchase the eSIM.
It will charge you and your current phone number will be transferred over.
