Picked up a card tonight from Walmart. Setup my account, hoping I could port my old cell number. By the time I had my account setup and paid, my phone and old number were active.
Old provider was Telus, so I’m glad it was that easy.

I prefer easy as pie. Sounds tastier.
Yeah but what about if we are on a diet?
Then it it is going to be a walk in the park
@John316guy Welcome to Public Mobile! Glad to hear your activation went smoothly without issues

Welcome to the community. Great to hear the good stories. Enjoy the savings, and thanks for sharing.
I also agree the speed was partially because you stayed in the telus family. Ports usually go well if the correct info is entered during the porcess.

Yes it is just as simple as that. Welcome to PM.

Had the exact same experience as you not that long ago. I think we made a great choice!

Welcome to Public. The super fast number port likely has to do with the fact that Telus owns Public Mobile. I've ported my number around to different carriers in the past, and often, the number port was completed before having enough time walk to the mall's exit, but when it's Telus to another Telus brand, one would expect that can usually be done instantly. (The Koodo prepaid to Public Mobile seems to be the exception).

That is the way it should be and the way it is for the bulk of the new activations. Welcome to the service.
