Hi I just got a second new phone and was wondering if I could order a duplicate sim card and use one in each phone? thanks

That seems to be a different use than your original question ? You want to Hotspot your data on your account but not by using the new phone? Or you want to Hotspot your account data for someone else in one location ( ie. at home) while you are at work elsewhere using your talk and text services?

Ok thanks
it's disappointing that there's not an easier way for me to keep using my old working phone as a hotspot and my new phone too for everything else.

Before anyone suggests it, if someone does duplicate the SIM card (which is prohibited), but accidently turns on both devices at the same time, one can expect to have the account suspended on grounds of fraudulent activity. The carrier would believce that someone either cloned your SIM card or that a customer is trying to use two cell phones without paying for 2 plans.

Ummmm....no but there are apps and certain devices ( like some new Samsung products) that allow the syncing or forwarding of texts messages and/or calls if on wifi or mobile data between two devices so that only one device is needed in separate locations or for two users.

@publicuser1234 - each SIM Card for each account, along with a unique email attached. No, you can't have the same sim card number on 2 different cards.

@publicuser1234 You can only use 1 SIM card per account . And each account needs its own email . So you would have to create a whole second account to use
