Does it matter when I change my subscription plan?

How does a subscription plan change impact amount charged? Is the change immediate or will it take effect at the end of the current billing cycle?

When changing plans, 2 options are provided: Change Now or Change on Renewal. 

If you MUST change your plan now, then you use this option. It will take effect right away, you are charged new amount and no credit applied to old plan. 

If you pre schedule Change on Renewal, it will be applied at next 30 days. You will finish out old plan, use all funds and charged only the new plan amount at that time.

If I'm remembering correctly when you are switching plans, you can either choose to wait until your month is up. Or you can change it at that moment and it'll charge you the day that you change it.
