I am currently living in the Netherlands and am coming back to Québec in June. I would like to purchase a Public Mobile SIM card. When I fill in my IMEI numbers (I have two of them, I bought a Motorolla G6 with Dual-Sim), it says that my device was lost or stolen. It was not since I bought a new device, straight from the store. Is there any way to fix my problem, do I need to change by IMEI, my access point or something?
Thank you,
C.

Phone from other places are made to optimize compatibility with network where sold. That does not mean it won't work here. If it has 850 and 1900 UMTS, it will work at Public Mobile.
For the stolen/lost result, also check devicecheck.ca. That is the national blacklist. Telus only might be blacklisting and it won't say there.

Thank you!
I realized that the model of my cellphone was not yet available on this database.
Thanks again,
C.

@camilvl You can ignore the IMEI check.
Public Mobile has partnered with willmyphonework.net as the new compatibility checker. If you can’t find your make and/ or model, provide feedback directly here.

Was it PM database that showed the phone was blacklisted or did you check on the Canadian database (link).
If you have proof of purchase; you can get your phone removed from the blacklist, but it's not a simple process.

The black list database only covers phones from Canada, and possibly the US. That you have a dual SIM G6 from Europe likely means your phone is not on any blacklist in Canada.
You phone does appear to support most of the frequencies Public Mobile requires, so there is a very good chance this phone will work with Public Mobile.

Hi @camilvl willmyphonework.net is only a guidance. It probably doesn't have the blacklist that is from European operator. I would think it is probably a false positive. You will only know when you get back to Quebec. If your phone is really on the blacklist.. there is nothing you can do other than the new phone, you can't change the IMEI.
