Hi There, thinking of getting my kiddos a prepaid plan. Does Public offer Data Protection? So they will never go over? Thank you!

@popping - great point about "other guys" Prepaid Plans! They (other providers) are not all the same that is for sure.

Not all prepaid service has overage charge. PM is one of them.
I know Chatr has pay-per-use if Chatr account has excess fund in Chatr account. The excess fund in Chatr account will be used to pay for the pay-per-use overage charge.
PM prepaid system is the answer to all parents' prayer. I told my kid that your plan has so much data every 30 days. If you used them all after 10 days, you will be on wifi diet for the remaining 20 days. You should keep the PIN# from your kid. Your kid may figure out how to call 611 from his phone to purchase data add-on at $15/1GB data using your autopay credit/debit card.

Hi - this is why I think Public Mobile is GREAT for new users (kids new to phones).
If they only have the $15 plan and they use up the 100 minutes - they get no more.
And same with the data, the 250mb ...once used up, that is it kiddo until renewal.
Love the no overages with PM! 🙂

@NiseyMidas22 PM is prepaid there are no overages. Once the plan data runs out for the 30 day cycle. It justs stops working until its paid on the renewal date and resets. To get more data mid plan you have to buy a data addon. Stay safe.

@NiseyMidas22 No, when your data is up, it stops. You either buy a data addon or update to another plan.

@NiseyMidas22 once data is used up it just stops till nrxt renewal unless you buy a data add-on or renew early.

@NiseyMidas22 hi there are no overage charges for data or anything else your data will just stop when used up until renewell date or if you decide to buy an add on
