Hi! I got a new phone and simplified card and have chosen a new number from the ones public offered. Confirmation emails have come through with the new number attached. The final confirmation where public sends a text to activate the Sim card has not come through. Help!

To my knowledge, the text messag sent to the customers after activation isn't to activate the service but to rather send a code so that the custoemr cajn use a 2FA code to log into the self serve account. if you're trying to log into your Public Mobile self serve acount, try the didn't get code/resend code option and check if there is an option to send the code by eitehr e-mail or voice message.
