I had some money in my account to pay a few months of my plan but I see I was also charged from my auto pay also.

Did you change plans in February? Purchase any add ons? Do you have multiple accounts/plans with public mobile?
As mentioned previously, a screenshot of your payment history may provide valuable information.

This happened before, the cards gets charged though there is enough on the balance or even more to cover the bill.
Please check your payment history to ensure that balance didn't drop below your plan price since January does have 31 days.
If not It is also possible that it will happen again if you don't speak to moderators, i once didn't mind thinking the balance will be used the following month, but it wasn't. After talking to them it didn't repeat for almost two years

Hi @brbuchan1 autopay will only be used if you don't have enough Available Funds in your account. As already mentioned above, as Public Mobile plans are 30-days, it is possible that your payment date was January 1 and the next renewal date was January 31. It would help if you could post a screenshot of your payment history as suggested by @kb_mv above.

Were the payments the same day? As PM is 30 day plans you could have been charged twice in January as it has 31 days. So depending on when the first payment was it can happen

@brbuchan1 You would need to post a screen shot of your payment history to help us figure it out. Ensure you remove/obscure personal details.
