Canada US data and text not working in US

My plan is 20gb text data for US Canada. Last time i was in US, i open cellular data as usual and its not working. Later on i saw a message about roaming service. Is there any setup that i can use data without additional fee?

for your Public Mobile data to work while in US, you first need to enable Roaming in the settings of your cell. Without that enabled, your data won't work in US but will work in Canada. 

As a matter of fact, enable Roaming and just leave it enabled. You'll never get a bill for overages. Once you've used up your allotment of data...it just stops until next regular plan renewal or you can buy a data add-on.

Canada-US plans include roaming use in the US.  Ignore the text message that Public Mobile sent.  As for service not working, try manually choosing either the AT&T, T-Mobile, or Verizon networks to see if you can get it working.
