You can also purchase vouchers to make payments. Call 611 from phone. Also can be purchased online.

Have you tried completely logging out of the app and back in?  Also, from what I understand, if you have multiple attempts in a day on the same card, it may not work until the next day.  I found the information in the announcement section on payment updates is helpful.
