Hello,
It has been over 5 Hours that I switched to public mobile and I am having problems with not being able to receive any calls and text messages

Yes, I did.. The problem was that I was stuck between the 2 providers. Finally fido transfered my number

Do you have mobile data? Can you call out? Are you able to send and receive texts? If so, you may just need to wait a couple hours or a day for the incoming calls to work. You can reset your network connection or reboot/restart your phone.
If you still cannot get incoming calls, contact a customer agent.

Did you receive the confirmation text from previous provider and replied yes? Does your old provider sim still work? Any data?
