Can't port my TBayTel #

Donny213

Been testing a Public Mobile sim for a little while and am happy with the coverage for my rural area. When it came time to do the switch over the Public Mobile 'system' told me my # couldn't be ported, which was also confirmed in a private message to a Moderator.

Contacted TBay Tel, they said they are not blocking the request. Talking to Bell, Telus and PC Mobile reps they say they can port my # < yet to be confirmed

I'd like to stay with Public any suggestions?

Successfully ported to PC Mobil which gets the Bell tower I wanted to hit.

Thanks for doing my homework for me. I guess if I really want to stay with Public I could accept their new number and notify all my contacts and update all the associated two step verification...what a pain

@Donny213   your phone number belongs in Marathon

In Marathon, these are the providers they have rate centres there and you can port your number over (again, sorry, no Telus/Koodo/PM)

Distributel

Rogers/Fido/Chatr

Bell/Virgin/Lucky

ExaTel

Shaw

Iristel

TBayTel

@Donny213   Yes, it has to be related with the Rate centre.

What is your area code and the next 3 digits?  can try to lookup where else you can port the number

@Donny213   most phone can be ported but not all, it depends if the actual location of the number you got (call Rate centre) , whether Telus has operation there

what does it say if you check there:
