I have followed all the instructions to set up my new SIM card and when I try to put in my SIM card code it tells me I am unsuccessful. I am sure I am using the right code as I wrote it down when I made it. Please help.

Sounds like Either
Your phone is locked to your old carrier and you need to unlock it. Either contact the manufacturer or your old carrier to get the unlock code.
or
You did what I did, set up a security code and got locked out of it. I contacted the manufacturer of the phone and they helped me get back in to the phone.

Phone doesn't ask to make a PIN. Sim cards already have a PIN. It's probably asking for network unlock PIN. That means phone's locked.

Did you purchase a Public SIM card? On the large card that the SIM came with use the larger number.

I received an email saying that my sim is activated and when I put it in my
phone it asked for me to make a PIN number for the SIM card and now it is saying that the pin is wrong and it won’t let me use any of my services on my phone

Activation done or invalid sim message? Is there an error message on phone? Which sim card code? Your phone might be locked to the old carrier.

@Joanosborne75 Try using incognito/private browsing mode. If that still doesn't work, try again in an hour or so as the previous session needs to expire before retrying.
