Call forwarding set up

Cheryl21

Hello,

I have an unlimited Canada-wide talk plan and I’d like to use call forwarding over the next month or so. It is to a Canadian number.

When I follow the prompt on this help page to turn on unconditional call forwarding I get the message that “sorry, talk is not included in your current plan”.

thanks!

Hi, does the call forwarding work to a canadian number when I go out of North America?  I see the fwd settings are applied at device level but not sure its done in the Public mobile database

While the user sets up call forwarding by using a device, the forwarding itself is done at the network level. If the call forwarding has already been set, it doesn't matter where you currently are.

@Vstj33

No.  Unless you leave your PM SIM card in a working phone in Canada.

Thanks, #21# got me a message that it had been turned off, but *21* still wouldn’t turn it on. Turning it on in my phone settings worked. Hoping that will continue to work when my phone is out of service (travelling outside Canada/US)

Good idea, thanks.

Tried it and still getting the same error message.

Can you otherwise normally call that number? Are you sure it's a fully Canadian number and not some trick number to reach the states or something?
