CCTS Wireless Code 15 day grace/trial period offered?

I'm on the fence about jumping ship here, and was wondering whether this applies? Mostly, I have a problematic basement suite on Rogers.

This policy doesn't apply to prepaid services in the same way it does for postpaid. Public Mobile is a prepaid service. The trial period only applies only if you bought a phone, in which then you'd get the 15 days you mentioned.

I found this information on the CRTC website: http://crtc.gc.ca/eng/phone/mobile/prepay.htm

With PM, what you can do is sign up for their 10-day plan to test things out. To do that you'd need to first order a SIM card for $5 (shipping included), then activate the card with a temporary number. Doing it this way will give you a chance to test the service in your basement, and you can then easily port your Rogers number over afterwards if you decide PM works for you.

With the 10 day plan... The cheapest you can go to test voice, text and data would be $31. If you're merely wanting to know if you can get service or not, you could sign up for just a voice plan for $15. If you're satisfied with the service you can then upgrade to the Fall 2016 Promo pricing that's been advertised.

You may not be that close to a Rogers tower, yet closer to a Telus one... see if this map helps you
