Bought "200MB Add-on" yesterday...my data service resumed, but stopped again today

It looked like I ran out of data on my plan, so I purchased a 200MB add-on yesterday.  Given that my service resumed after purchasing the add-on, and then stopped again today, It might sound as though I used up my newly purchased 200MB add-on, but I don't think that is the case.  My usage has been pretty light over the past 24 hours.  Both my iphone AND the public mobile self-serve portal shows negligable data usage over the last 24 hours.

 

Any other reason why my data service might have stopped working?

@ray_johannsson If Data add-on shows in your Self-Serve, but it suddenly stopped working, I would suggest to send a private message to a Moderator_Team, let them look into your problem! Unfortunately, you would have to wait until tomorrow for their response. .

@meocon: I've been without data for 3-4 hours, so I'm outside the 2 hour window you mentioned.

I checked "My Plan & Add-ons" and it tells me I have $0 available funds.

It shows I have the 200MB Add-on.

When I go to the payment page, it shows I have:

Jun 6, 2018Do_Not_Use_200MB Data / Données 200 Mo

That sounds strange.  Maybe I bought the wrong add-on...?

 

When I go to "Data & Add-on Usage": it does not show any usage.

 

So confusing! 🙂

Thanks for the suggestion, but a reboot did not help.

@mimmo: that's a great idea to renew my plan early.  Never thought about that.

I'm on a 12GB for 3 months deal with an iPhone 7+

I'm usually pretty careful what I do when on data...and I looked it up on "cell usage" statistics and couldn't find any high data usage history over the last 2 days.

 

Thanks for the advice.  Whatever is going on, hope I can get my data back soon!

@ray_johannsson  sometimes it is cheaper to ask the mods to renew a plan early instead of buying a data addon.  time left estmated usage are factors but typically $/gb renewing is the better option.

 

what plan are you on?  if a 3g plan it has been known to happen that teh data doesnt reset on renewal.

 

could an update have  happened on data vs wifi.

 

what phone are you using?  if android datawitness is a good free data tracking app (created by one of our members. otherwise my data manager (apple and android) is also good .

 

apart from teh 3g bug mentioned data usage app vs selfserve are usually pretty close.

@ray_johannsson Maybe it is due to Self-Serve site maintenance last night? Try to reboot your phone and see if it resumes your Data. Woman Happy

@ray_johannsson Usually it just has one reason that is data used up. Did you check on self-serve? it may take up about 2 hrs to update info.
