I sent a message to the moderator_team around 2-3 days ago to get service to renew my existing plan of 12 Gb over 3 month earlier but I haven't heard back and I don't know if they have received it or overlooked it or it is just in queue.

How has your service failed? If your balance is fully loaded, try adding a $1 manual payment to trigger the system.
Look for an activate (or reactivate) option inside self-serve.
Try the lost/stolen trick - Set the plan to suspended inside Self-Serve, log out, wait for 5 minutes, then log back in and mark it as found/reactivate.
These 'tricks' may or may not work, but have helped others previously.

Its longer than usual, but it seems they have this problem once a while.
maybe the new system will make it better, more efficient.

I guess the only option is to wait a bit longer! I posted on Friday. So, it's just 3 days now. Hopefully, @CS_Agent can assist this week!

It's hard to say. If it's been more than 3 days send another message.
Also in the mean time add the needed funds so that the can do it right away.
