Good Morning,
I'm trying to activate a new physical SIM as my phone seems to have stopped recognizing the old one.
I've ordered a SIM online and it is now in my possession. I'm trying to activate it now but the instructions to do so appear out of date and I don't see an option to activate the SIM on my profile. I'm also not sure where the activation number is
Can someone please provide assistance?

How long does this take to change? I have rebooted my phones a couple times and it still is showing "SOS" on my phone screen.

@chaul yes, after your made the change and submitted, reboot the phone once or twice with the new sim card inside and should work

I've changed the SIM code and received a confirmation via email.
I have one further question if you don't mind - how long does it take for this change to take place? Do I need to restart my phone? My phone number still appears as Unknown under my phone's SIM manager.

you don't "activate" itbvia Subscribe, but just login My Account to update the sim number
Go to My Account from ONLY a desktop or laptop computer to request Change Sim card (please note that due to some glitches, accessing change sim care from mobile phone or tablet won't work)
(If you are unable to login as you don't have a phone to receive the 2FA code: On the screen it is expecting you to enter the code, click Didn't get the code? or Resend code and then choose Send email)
Then go to Profile page, click on the Pencil besides the sim card number, follow the steps to enter the new sim card number and complete the change sim card request
