Activating eSim on iPhone without app

Hi,

I have an iPhone set up with Region = Belgium. This is preventing me from downloading the PM app on my phone. I can't change my region as I use this phone for business / apps in europe. How can I have my new PM esim activated on my phone without changing region to Canada?

I notice in iOS that it is possible to enter activation code manually by filling in following fields:

SM-DP+ Address

Activation Code

Confirmation Code (optional)

Has anyone activated their PM eSim by manually entering data?

it is doable but tricky

you need to download PM app on another phone, then make sure you disallow the app from installing the eSIM for you, so at Step 6, you need to make sure you click disallow the app to install eSIM

then you will wait for the Welcome email to scan the eSIM QR code on your European iPhone

but overall, i would go with physical sim in your situation.  You still need to have a friend to help to download and activate, but it is easier

to activate a new account and buy an esim, you must be able to download the Public Mobile app in order to complete the process.
