I'm trying to get service before I start my job.
I have a Telus Prepaid Alcatel Go Flip (4044v) phone (was used with koodo).
Since Telus operates Public Mobile, I thought my phone should be fine.
But when I do the check, it can't find it ???
Can anyone help asap ?
Thanks

I am having to do this from 3000km away 😞
The list doesn't enable a phone to work. It's only a guide and will never be complete do to large number of devices. Your phone will work (assuming it's unlocked, which is should be).

@nadirshahismail Based on everything that I have read in the same thread that you posted this query in, yes it will.

@jamesgboutilier Telus=Koodo=Public Mobile so it will work without any issues.

Can confirm in 2019. Just purchased the go flip in Canada, and works perfect on Public Mobile even though its not on the compatibiliy checker. Signup was easy. Bought the phone, bought the sim at london drugs for 10 dollars or whatever it was, drove home, followed the instructions and my phone was working in 15 min. I now have a 25 dollars a month phone plan. The same plan with telus was 60 dollars a month (their lowest they could offer me with a flip phone with only 150mb of data!. My phone plan now is 1G of data with autopay, which is way too much for the goflip, but I do go past 150mb a month some months somehow. Hey, it has 4g ok 🙂

@jamesgboutilier unfortunately, the compatibility checker on PM's site is less than useful most of the time. You're good--if it worked with Koodo, you're good to go. For future use, try using willmyphonework.net instead. Much better.

PM uses same network as koodo and telus. you will be fine!

Hi. Thanks
Straight up, this is a new to me phone -- 2 months old (still store warranty from who I bought it from).
The package is a Telus Prepaid. He used it with Koodo.
And seems this phone is very difficult to unlock, so I was really happy to see Public was with Telus to avoid that -- but then "not found"...

It will work. If it worked with telus and Koodo it will work here. The compatibility checker is not that reliable.

If you had service with Koodo with no issues, it'll work just fine with PM.
