When to insert public Mobile SIM in. Will I receive final email from public to replace SIM?

I did all steps, and receive email from public- plz note it may take 5 hours for us to transfer your number from your previous provider.I check previous provider SIM status, it's inactive now.Do I replace SIM now ?Thanks
