Roaming in US and texting photos

I bought the US talk, text, data plan and just arrived.While I can text SMS, I can't receive photos and my roaming doesn't work ... Any ideas?

Haha no one to phone yet, but yes SMS texts.There's better be data left! I only got here last night.My phone use 5G at home.My husband sent me an attachment said I have to download it, but that never happens..... Just uses up battery power
