I'm finding some older members with alot of experience in Community, prefer to criticize, rather than up build. PLEASE TEACH AND UP BUILD US NEW MEMBERS. For new members like my self please contribute, ask stay involved. I will give you a BRAVO and CHEER you on. PLEASE STAY ON BOARD.

Thank you to the public mobile community who are quick to help newcomers and answer our questions!

@Officejet007, I wished you can say this to some people here who complained about the service but is really not the fault of Public Mobile!

The PM community is helpful and quick in providing a response to questions. I am new to posting and responding to others, but I feel welcome to the community. May we all contribute to each others understanding and show others PM is the best mobile carrier out there in terms of appreciation of their customers

I've moved this thread to the lounge. New members are always welcome. There might be a bit of learning curve at first, but eventually, the new members become experienced members.

@iliketotalk I figured if I didn't mention your name later today you would be posting "about someone" who didn't even have the heart to mention you...LOL only kidding.
But seriously I have noticed your positive comments and really good info you are sharing its helpful!
04-13-2020 03:32 PM
@Naepalm thank you that means a 😀 a lot to me 😂

@mpcdesign LOL
I'm ADHD so this helps me cope...j/k
yeah, I am a bit zealous now just because it's so new that will slow down in the coming weeks, doesn't help I work from home right now and I am always on my computer.
I'm actually just waiting right now for my final exam to open up for my undergrad! Yay! Few more minutes and ill be gone for a while.

@Naepalm, you need to slow down a bit though. Seriously, you gonna pass everyone, and you may need to reconsider a career change or add it as part-time job gig!

@Irv I totally agree there are community members that have been so positive and @mpcdesign and @iliketotalk and @fdrcamb519 are amongst those. I have enjoyed the info from some of the oracles as well.
Thanks for being so welcoming!

@fdrcamb519, thank you for your feedback and thank you to all members who are taking their time to help. I learned something new because of you!
As a new member like you, I needed some time to understand Public Mobile and its community. Surely, I found so helpful to see so many members answering questions but also trying to bring their input based on their experience even if the question has been answered already. And all of that in such friendly and welcoming way. Maybe it looks like a forum but it feels like a community, I guess that's why it's called "Community" 😁.
Smiling is contagious and I think being positive and constructive is the same. @mpcdesign, thank you for being contagious in a good way 😉.

Thanks for this @fdrcamb519 I have really enjoyed my first few days here and though that commenting and putting our opinion on different topics was a good idea. I feel like we may face some criticism for this and was not prepared for that. But, we moe on and will continue to contribute as much as we can. Love the focus on positive, sometimes people may need to be called out which is fine just say it how it is respectfully.
Cheers

@fdrcamb519, and welcome to the community and joining the Public Mobile family too!
I think it's great to see new members taking the time and participating in the community.
Kudos to the other recent new members @ArmandoUrso, @Naepalm and @Irv. It's great to see all this diversity and embracing it.

@fdrcamb519 I think for the most part we do it because we enjoy helping others in some small way and I believe a thank you or a bravo goes a long way

Well said thank you.

Thank you everyone, I learned a lot from this post......

@fdrcamb519, thank you for your apology! Much appreciated. I think everyone will agree with that one.
If you want to express the importance of a point, bold it!
Or change the size of the font.
But, bolding a font is the best way!

@fdrcamb519 the one thing I have noticed recently if you want to get a word in you have to basically be sitting at your computer hitting the refresh button else there will be 5 of the same answer right after another. 😞
04-13-2020 02:35 PM
@fdrcamb519 I know exactly what your saying I felt the same way last year when i started, there are some members who either have no people skills or just like to criticize and others who are just trying to point out a new members mistakes so they won't keep making them, sometimes it's difficult to tell the difference.as a new member one can be a bit to eager and try to answer questions they know very little about that can be frustrating to older members as I'm sure you can understand. In my opinion one should take the time to learn the subject and try to reply to the subjects they are familiar with and remember it's quality not quantity anyhow that's my two cents for what it's worth.one thing though please ask as many questions as you like that's what we are here for mostly, please have a great day everyone!!
04-13-2020 02:34 PM
I appreciate your message, and I will not use caps in the future, i did not realize means yelling, sorry fellow members, and thank you for reply. Well said.
04-13-2020 02:30 PM
@fdrcamb519, I can see why you get so frustrated. It is what it is. We have a lot of well-seasoned community members who have been here probably since day one.
I have been with Public Mobile since July 2017, and I do agree that sometimes, people can be bit a rude or a little gentle-ribbing. One needs to develop a thick skin. The way I look at it, it's called constructive feedback on your comments. Yes, you may not like some of the comments, but 80% of the time, it's really to help you out. Don't take it so personally.
Another thing that is against you, is you like to use all caps in your posts. Basically, you are yelling at us. So, if you are yelling at us, it means we can be rude back to you. No?
Seriously, if you were yelling at someone, do you think we like that? Or, if your partner or friends yelled at you, how do you think you would feel? Upset? Irritable? Mad?
So, I ask you please do not type in all caps. Pleeeeaassssseeee stop that madness!

Members point out what is not correct. It is part of participation, learning and contribution.
I am glad that members pointed out what I did wrong when I started almost 2 years ago.
