So Public mobile...
This is a no frills service so we expect competitive pricing. This is the 1st year there have been no freebie bonuses (data and minutes). Other carrier plans have been more competitive but they seem to want to do nothing about it on the < $25 plans. If they do it's for new customers only and some in this thread (RFD, etc) say they were able to get the $24 plan and some not. Even after several attempts and having to talk to certain agents or managers. How about just making the plan open to everyone so customers don't have added hassles. It's not fair for some existing customers to get it while others not. It stinks.
Many are losing their rewards so the will power/commitment in staying with them is being lessened. Be competitive then people won't bail. Most had to earn those rewards, to get part of them snatched away is not really acceptable. No wifi calling, $25 or under plans were 3G until recently. Been a customer for over 4 years and the same 3G plans still exist today. Not one to complain, but having to jump through hoops is ridiculous. Lacking on certain features in 2024, c'mon now. Not competing with other carriers unless you're a new customer...will aggrevate your current customers. The service itself works great, it's a trimmed down version of Telus so it should be reliable.
Poor OfficeGlenn and others, wasting their time. It just shouldn't be this way. Losing some rewards myself and not very pleased with that. It's like PM is doing it on purpose.

I think you are right about the old program. Just a pity they chose to do what they did. I was happy with them. However, on a principle, I will continue to look for at least the same deal some were else. Then I maybe might come back for a better deal for new subscriber's.

PM obviously regrets the old loyalty program. Some subscribers have so many rewards that they are getting their plans for free. Now PM has the points rewards which is not as nice.
I am still sitting on 6GB of bonus data which keeps rolling over each month. You can't even buy data packs that roll over anymore.
However, I am not complaining. I had to pay $4 more to upgrade (only $18 per month after rewards). But now I have 30 GB instead of 1 GB and 4G instead of 3G. I still remember my first cell phone back in 1992. I was paying over $50 a month for 100 minutes.

Still think they are letting down loyal existing customers. Also, why no Christmas gift this year? They told me to create a new account and they would give me the 50g $34 deal. When I told them I would loose my $8 rewards, they said too bad. So much for loyalty.

Members of my family were able to switch from our current subscription to one of the "new activation only" plans. We had to message CS_Agent and they were willing to do it PROVIDED THAT THE NEW ACTIVATION ONLY PLAN COSTS MORE THAN THE EXISTING PLAN.
My wife and I were able to switch from our existing $25 3G plans to new activation only $29 4G plans. However, PM was adamant that they would not switch my son from his $39 4G Plan to a new activation only $34 5G plan and the explanation was that the new activation only plan was cheaper than his existing plan.
It is too late for him to do it now, but my son plans to downgrade to the $15 3G plan before the next time that PM is expected to come up with promotional new activation only plans, and then try to switch. It can't hurt to try.

Fully agree. Fact new customers can get better plans than loyal existing customers is not right. They need to sort it, or lots will look at other providers. I know I am.

If enough customers speak their minds then PM should listen. Again, don;t want to complain. No frills service that is reliable so people look at price for the plans #1, at the expense of losing some features.

Well said👏
Unfortunately, Public Mobile is not seeing this message. Just customers like yourself.

@powerserge I totally agree with you and While it’s true some have had success getting these new activation plans as existing customers and other being turned away . I think one has better chance of asking for plan that is considered a upgrade so if you on the $25 plan it might be easier ask for the 30GB $29 plan instead of downgrading to the 4GB $24 plan .
