Should I switch to SaskTel?

Funny thing happened today, a SaskTel door-to-door salesman tried to convince me to switch to SaskTel due to the unlimited data, (which is more like 5 GB 5G/LTE data then slowed down + Wifi calling + VoLTE I think?) for $45/mo. I said I'll think about it. My phone is the Samsung Galaxy A53 5G which is 5G compatible. Should I take the deal?

@LeePublic- And #TELUS. But they're wifi...not cellular data. Unless I'm thoroughly lost. 🙂

@dust2dust Lol, I meant the SaskTel Select Wifi hotspots. more info here:

They act similarly to ShawGo hotspots Freedom and Shaw customers access.

This is not counted. That's just plain old wifi.

@dabr Yes, PM and SaskTel use the same towers, (two of the Big Three, B & T here act as MVNO operators alongside their flankers) though I am on the grandfathered rewards program here at PM so I am not sure about moving yet. I save about $7-8 per month from my $35 plan here with PM which has 3 + 2 GB (5 GB) data.

Though the advantages are tempting, 5G/LTE speed, VoLTE, wifi calling, unlimited data at 512 Kbps after 5GB, unlimited data at public hotspots, etc.

@LeePublic   If you feel that is better value than what you have currently have with PM and SaskTel provides reliable service, then it might be worth considering depending on your needs of course.   Hopefully, PM will eventually have VoLTE/WIFI calling, but could be a few years before that happens.

OTH, you are on the old rewards (unless you switched) which are no longer available for new activations if you decided to return?
