Surprisingly, watermelons are classified as berries because they develop from a flower with seeds embedded in the fleshy fruit. I have been having watermelon everyday since June!

My secret for picking a sweet watermelon:

1. Look for a large yellow spot

2. Pick the lighter green one with  webbing

3. Give it a good slap and the shockwave should bounce back to your hand

4. Pick the heavier one if sizes are all the same
