new Iphone 14 does not have SIM slot (currently USA only) - whats the plans for e-sim support ?

Hi, just saw the Apple event and iPhone 14 for USA does not have a sim slot any more so I assume this will come next year to more countries so just wondering when you think e-sim support is be available ?   Thanks.

But is Canada getting the same iPhone without physical sim?
