Rogers and PM use different network band.  And generally, an Asian phone like yours would work better with Rogers than Telus/Bell/PM.  But even it works "better with Rogers", it still lacks some bands and it won't work as well as those true Canadian phone

we know PM is realigning 3G bands in some area.  Imported phones not sold in North America might not work as well as before, especially for voice.  

try your sim card on another phone like iPhone or Samsung S2x and you might see the service working without any problem

what model of that phone? and does it work on sim card with another provider?
