Will I lose my phone number if my credit card expires without updating it?

Hi, if my credit card expired and I forgot to update my credit card information with the new card, and the renewal transaction didn't go through as a result, would I lose my phone number right away?

Do I get a notification of this and still have a chance to renew the card and pay for the renewal without losing my phone number?

My phone number is important and I can't lose it.

One thing most people are not aware of, if your credit card is set up on an auto-payment such as phone bill, even if the card expires the payment should still go through. It doesn't really seem right but it's some weird thing to prevent people's subscriptions and similar from cutting off if they forget to activate their new card after one expires.

Correct ... in my case the PM account was for a phone that was stolen, so I self-suspe ded the account so that the finder could not use the phone. The new $120 90-day 12GB plan has me back though 😀

I suppose when the account was in suspend state I wouldn't be able to use my phone anyway, which in itself a notification that something is wrong.

To the OP, as long as your account does not lapse (90 days after it is suspended), you will retain your phone number. I just revived a suspended account that was 60+ days old and the number on that account just picked up where it left off!

You have 90 days from when your account goes into "suspended mode" to activate it again by adding funds. Not sure if you get notification or not.

I belive you get 90 day period where your account wll get suspended and you will be given opertunity to renew using new/diffrent card or prepaid voucher. As for notication of failed payment, not sure about that part.
