When does my plan renew?

sbroadbent

I recently received a message (have had service for a month) saying that my payment is due on January 30.  I have sufficient funds in my account, but I was curious when the funds would be deducted, as in if I didn't have the money in the account, by what time of the day would I have to make sure that I have funds.

If it's January 30th, does that mean the plan renews at 12:01am on January 30th, or 11:59pm on January 30th or some other time during the day (like noon)?

For example, when I was with Telus, I had up until the end of the day as in 11:59pm to make sure I had money in the account for the plan to renew, so I was curious if the same applies with Public Mobile.

The last time I dialed 611, it said 11:59 PM.

Interesting. With autopay enabled I get 2am of the date shown. Without autopay I just get the date due (shown).

I pay with Visa on autopay.

My card is charged like clockwork at 11:30 PM on the day the plan expires.

The only reason I know is my bank sends me a text message instantaneously when a charge is made to my card. 🙂

 @sbroadbent

A few months ago the system changed to showing the date of the new term. And then lies about needing money by 11:59pm ET of that day.

The plan will renew like your example of 12:01am ET of that date. You'll see some nasty things on your account leading up to then but as long as your services still work you'll be fine.

So if you're not using autopay or otherwise don't have enough funds then you'll need to make sure you deposit funds by 11:59pm ET of that day before.

@sbroadbent  Dial 611 from your device to get that info.
