This morning I left my house and then realized I had no cell service at all. I assumed the autopay would work as it has in the past but something seems to have changed. Once I got to work I tried to set up the same credit card and would get the message:
Unable to Process Transaction
Sorry, we are unable to verify your credit card information, so this purchase could not be completed. Your credit card has not been charged.
I even tried another credit card of mine and it would give me the same message. Then when I used my debit card it worked but I'd much rather pay by credit card. Any ideas what the problem may be? Everything was working in the past but now neither credit card works. One is mastercard and the other is visa.

@jamill what I usually do is login a couple days before my renewal and top up manually. This give me the assurance that I can mitigate any issues. We really should not have to do these things and you are probably good for the future but ... A couple extra minutes is not worth the possible aggravation.

Hi there, I managed to fix the issue somehow. I tried it again today and it worked. As I read in some other places it seems to be pretty sensitive to addresses. I left out the Apt # and used Toronto instead of York. I think it needs to match your address with your credit card or something. Really, it would be great to be able to list 2 or 3 sources of payment so I don't lose service again, but I don't know how hard that would be for them to implement. Anyway, good luck, I hope it works out for you.

I called up the credit card company, but they don't see any issues on their side. Again, the same card number worked without a problem prior to renewal, and the new card works elsewhere.

If I understand right, you had your CC set up for autopay. You did not have any cell service so then you tried to set up the same card again for autopay or just to put funds into your account?
Try resetting your account by going into self serve, place your phone as lost/stolen. Log out and wait a few minutes. Log back in and put it as found.

The Public Mobile website can be finicky. Sometimes using a different internet browser works, clearing cache. Leaving the apartment number section blank also is necessary. Making sure the address matches your credit card address exactly.
