Surfing the Web Internationally

If I am from Canada, and go to the states, I understand I do not get charged for texts, but would there be an upcharge for surfing the web?

Is that true @mimmo that you will only receive incoming texts but can't send them when in the US? First I've heard of that...

@karias16, any usage while in the US will require the purchase of an add-on.  Prepaid format requires features be purchased before they are available for use.  You don't pay after using a feature.

Public Mobile is a prepaid service, you will not get charged anything extra because you will not have access to the web without first purchasing the add-on.
