I know PM sometimes like to make limited time plans like they did in summer with Canada US roaming plan. Maybe as a holiday limited time plan they could add unlimited data. Seeing how they don't seem to want to add it full time a limited time plan may be something they can do.
It would get more people to join like it did for people who needed a lower cost Canada US plan. It probably won't happen but it would be a popular limited time plan.

@ShawnC13 that's how I feel about it too.
EDIT: it's actually quite brilliant. It costs the providers near nothing to offer you a seemingly endless trickle of data beyond your plan amount, in hopes that it frustrates you enough to upscale your plan or purchase additional full-speed data. It's quite smart.

I think the unlimited data is just a gimmic. People who are using a large amount of data are probably streaming video's, playing games, and other high data consuming activities and then to get throttled to something that would work to check email or use maps would be completely useless to them. You start to drive the consumers need for more data by offering "unlimited" and then they will consume it and then realise they need more data and then are required to purchase a plan with a larger quantity of full speed base data before they reach the throttled unlimited data.

The augmented data topic has been discussed when the other tier 3 competitors offered it. Public Mobile should be fully aware of their competitive disadvantage. Alas there is still no appetite to match the competition. What are you gonna do as an astute shopper? Look after your wallet...
