Hello everyone,
I was wondering if everyone can share their speed test results for their area.
It would be nice if you can please include name of your city, area within the city and time of the test.
A screen shot of the test would be nice.
Please don't include your address or any personal information.
Thank you.

While speedtests mean absolutely nothing (doing two tests in a row can yield speeds WILDLY different), here's mine just for kicks: http://www.speedtest.net/result/a/2833323417
42 down/12 up
That's in Oakville (ON), near Upper Middle/8th Line.

Seems like everyone is bringing this topic back. Sounds like the end of the cycle is closing and people are looking for ways to "burn" the rest of the data appropriately XD
Heheh.. true.. I have a GB or two left till the end of the cycle, and instead of it all going to the Nether, I thought it is a good idea to put it to the service of this great Community 🙂

Most of the time there are distributed antenna systems in big buildings like this (or underground locations).

thanks @will13am for pointing out the slow speed issue at yorkdale. I wonder why that is.
Yorkdale mall is one of the most challenging places I know of for cellular signal. My old provider was able to cover maybe 1/4 is the mall. Every carrier has a dead spot here and there. Nothing is perfect.

High def YouTube videos are more entertaining and quite effective as well.

Not too bad for a Friday Night - Kitchener, Ontario
01-28-2017 12:42 AM
Location - Downtown, Toronto
Jan 28, 12:30 AM ET - I repeated the test 3 times
- Download 16 Mbps average (range 14.67 to 16.91)
- Upload 14 Mbps average (range 11.00 to 16.77)
These results are lower than my Jan 9th sample. I guess it is because it is Friday Night and a lot of people out causing congestion.
Jan 9, 11:33PM ET (1 sample)
- Download 26.74 Mbps
- Upload 16.05 Mbps
Some general tidbit of how Telus, Bell, and Rogers rank from the CBC

I wonder if the cell site is congested? The ping is great, but download and upload speeds seem to be a little on the slow side. Was it during lunch time or some other peak usage period?

I recently hit a record speed that seems to be the fastest, at least among those quoted in this thread:
82 Mbps down, 42 Mbps up.
Very strong signal, full bars, SINR = 25 dB (measured by Network Signal Guru), LTE band 7. Basically standing in the parking lot near the building with Bell/Telus cellphone tower. Time - around 2pm. Location: London, ON

Mid Vancouver Island, 5:30pm:
35ms ping to server.
Down: 35.98 Mbps
Up: 16.69 Mbps
Faster than my hardwired shaw connection haha.

@sportymi @hardywang I doubt those speedtests are on LTE. That upload speed is way to low for LTE.

Combine both Telus and Bell towers to get a good idea of tower locations.
According to this the entire Saskachewan has no PM service?
@hardywang For Saskachewan, Sasktel towers must be added in as well.

In the spirit of being helpful, here is a speed test taking from a rather challenging location for cellular signal. This is taken today at Yorkdale Mall, The Bay lower level, at small kitchen appliances corner. The reason why my notification bar does not show a signal is because there is zero bars. The signal strength is actually 2 asu. Interestingly, I can load a web page just the same, although it takes a lot longer than usual when on LTE.
