I just activated my sim and everything but the my iPhone isn’t accepting it. It makes me go to an activation page but come up as an error. I already called the previous owners company. (Virgin) to unlock it but it’s still showing the same error..

@Mlokbai wow thanks BELL! lol I ported my moms number over from Virgin/Bell. But I used a Public Mobile number first then asked the Moderators to port it.
But this is to just unlock the phone seems like long time.

@Mlokbai Best to give them another call and mention that 24 hours have passed and that your phone is still locked. Sometimes things get lost in translation keep bugging them until they send the request to the Apple servers so that your phone can get unlocked. It normally does not take that long.

@Mlokbai You can try by simply turning your phone off pulling the SIM for a few minutes then placing it back in the phone and restarting the phone.
You can also go into your network settings pick a different network. Select it save. It will give you an error go back select Public Mobile. Sometimes this network reset works as well.
If you cant get it figures out after that contact the moderators here:

@Mlokbai try these 2 things in order.
- sync to iTunes
1. Insert new working SIM - do not turn phone on (if SIM is already in, turn off)
2. Connect to computer with USB cable.
3. Start iTunes if it doesn't auto run
4. iPhone will switch on. Wait until iTunes registers it and checks for updates
5. Install the carrier profile update (if offered, if not, go to step 6)
6. Disconnect and restart. From @luddite. - Reset your network settings. iPhone preferences, navigate to "General," and then scroll down to the bottom where it says "Reset." Tap that, and then tap "Reset Network Settings. Once done, your phone should restart. If it didn't, restart it. If it worked, re-enter your wifi password if applicable, Enable data, sms amd mms to send and receive from Android phones.
Welcome to PM. Stay safe.

@Mlokbai Did you give Virgin your IMEI and ask them to unlock your phone? Make sure you have the latest Carrier settings updates installed and try resetting network settings on your iPhone. If it still says Invalid SIM then you phone is still locked and needs to be unlocked before it will work.
